Aquatic Therapy

If at evaluation (in home) it is determined that you would most benefit from aquatic therapy or if you are seeing us in order to receive aquatic therapy then the first pool visit will begin after evaluation. Treatments will be performed at Diver’s Den in Kingsland, GA at a specific day/time (must be scheduled with therapist, no online scheduling). This location offers a mechanical lift for patients with difficulty getting in and out of a pool.

Treatment makeup is the same as a regular visit except it will be performed in the water. The natural buoyancy of water reduces stress on the body and helps patients exercise easier with less pain. Plus, the natural pressure of water in therapy pools reduces joint and soft-tissue swelling and provides enough resistance to strengthen muscle.

Aquatic therapy evaluation (first visit)

Approximately 80 minutes: $150

Performed in home, please wear loose fitting or athletic clothing and have paperwork completed if possible. Evaluation consists of patient history, movement and functional assessment tailored to your specific needs.

Aquatic therapy visit (subsequent visits)

Approximately 60 minutes: $125

  • Treatment programs created at evaluation will be implemented over a recommended frequency and duration to help you achieve short and long term goals.
  • Please wear clothes you will be comfortable in and that are appropriate for an aquatic setting (regular clothing or bathing suit is fine)
  • Bring a towel!
  • If desired remember a change of clothes for the drive home
